Aim: Long-term acute care hospitals (LTACH) provide specialized for patients recovering from severe diseases and with chronic critical illnesses; who need long-term ventilatory support. This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting length of stay in our intensive unit (LTICU) stroke.
 Material Method: retrospective included 200 stroke patients; were followed up LTICU. The demographic characteristics, comorbid diseases, culture results examined as variables effects these on investigated.
 Result: Of mean age was 79(41-99) years, 99 (49.5%) males 46 (7-463) days. LTICU significantly long a tracheostomy positive growth urine cultures (p = 0.013, p 0.018). short received TPN 0.006).
